CeeCee

Nothing is more endearing than the gentle gaze of a gentle pit bull. Especially one half licorice, half cream, with rose tinged ears, and the lyrical name of CeeCee. This beautiful bully, found as an ailing stray in an abandoned and burned out building, has bravely rebuilt her life from the paws up, and is currently thriving in the safety and security of her devoted foster home.

Aged between 4 and 5, and a fit 50 pounds, CeeCee sees herself as something of a lap dog, quiet and calm, who could spend her days simply lying at her loved one’s feet. Not that she doesn’t enjoy playing, which she does, especially with her three doggy foster sibs, even cuddling up close to her foster sib, Dino, for company and warmth.

Due to her traumatic past, this sweet survivor needs to be slowly introduced to those she doesn’t know by being allowed to make the first move. Once she’s grown comfortable and trusting, her tail starts wagging and she begins jumping excitedly (a behavior her foster family is working to tame). Then, to know her is to love her! And the feeling is certainly mutual as cautious, but caring CeeCee quickly becomes that person’s loyal and loving companion. Because new places and loud noises remain her two prime stressors, hopefully, with time and patience, they too will ease.

More than ready now for her fur-ever home, our charmed and charming CeeCee would thrive in one with someone there most of the time, to love and cherish her, while being loved and cherished in return.
