Baby Kaylee suffered injuries to her face and mouth at only 3 weeks old! She was surrendered to us in order to help treat the injuries. Kaylee is an adorable tiny red and white female who has a spectacular "will to live". Kaylee has been under medical treatment for her injuries and has been evaluated by an orthopedic surgeon who says she should be just fine without surgical intervention! Yeah! Kaylee has had to learn to breathe out of her mouth for the time being, and she sounds like she is snoring all the time because of the trama to her nose. Despite her rough start, she loves to run after her foster dad and play with her several foster siblings who are only a few weeks older than her. She has been gaining weight, and forget about eating the mushy puppy food - she wants to eat the "big" dog food. But her doctor says she has to eat the mushy stuff and not chew and bite on anything too hard for a little while because her tiny jaw has to heal. That's been a real challenge for us - because SHE thinks she's just fine. Updates will be posted as she comes along.
