This is Frankie. He's new to Buster. Frankie is a neutered male Cane Corso who just turned a year old on October 6th. Frankie is being treated for both an ear infection and skin infection. He also has a condition called cherry eye which will need to be surgically corrected. The big lug is exhibiting it in both eyes. We currently have him on eye meds as well. It is a common disorder that will be corrected. And yes genetics plays a role in a dog developing it, he's good when crated and is handling better on lead. He has grown up with a Brussels Griffon and two young boys. Frankie will only go to an experienced Cane household. NO EXCEPTIONS! We are looking into finding a reputable Cane Corso rescue that is able to take him on. Frankie is going to need exercise and pro-active training. As large as he is he lacks confidence and will have to continue to be worked with to improve on these things. Frankie loves to run (like a freight train) I might add, adores his toys and is a bit smitten with buster’s adoptable girl Camilla. True to breed characteristics Frankie can be protective of his property. He has responded well to correction and redirection so we continue to work with him on this. He also needs work to help build his confidence and trust with strangers.
