Update on Rosie 4/16/2014:

Rosie is an affectionate people pleaser. She was a great mama to her puppies when needed; they are now weaned. Rosie enjoys walks outside and has a spring in her step! She’s attentive to the sights and sounds outside, but responds quickly to correction if she thinks she should chase the rabbit. She walks along nicely without pulling the lead. She responds to the words ‘no’ and ‘come’ without hesitation. She’s house trained. She alerts humans to her need to go outside by pacing between the human and the door.
She barks when we enter the house, but stops when told ‘no’. Before her puppies were born, and the inherent need for separation, she and the foster home dog shared their living space. She has no affection for, or anything against, the foster home cat. She has a knack for getting up and out of an X-pen, but didn’t cause any trouble once she accomplished her goal. She has never chewed or destroyed anything. She sleeps with a dog bed and toys in her crate. She goes to her crate on command.

Mama Rosie came from a very horrible situation. She came to us pregnant emaciated and not in good health and living in filth But despite all that, she is sweet as could be. She gave birth to 8 puppies on March 9, 2014, and when she is done nursing. she will be looking for her forever home. She will make any family a great dog. She will come spayed micro-chipped up to date on shots, and dewormed . She is doing very well adjusting to her new life and she is a very good mother to her a puppies. She loves to just cuddle up to you and taken all the love. we will know a lot more about her personality one she has done nursing her babies and separated. Rosie is good with cats and seems very uninterested in them. She knows basic commands and responds very well to training.  She does very well on a leash and enjoys chewing on bones. We are not sure how she is with other dogs, but will be testing her once she is done nursing her puppies. She will be ready to go to a forever home in about a month ( beginning of May). She truly is a sweet, gentle, loving soul.
