Diamond is a typically energetic, happy pit bull pup. Rescued by her previous owner at the tender age of 6 weeks – not all of her littermates made it into homes before they died from the neglect and filthy living conditions. Tragically, her owner lost her home and found herself unable to afford a place that allows dogs. Luckily for Diamond, her owner loved her dog too much to turn her into a high kill shelter, going so far as to hide her in the new apartment until she was able to place Diamond with a rescue.
Diamond came to Buster spayed and in good physical condition. She knows basic obedience, how to walk on leash and does well in her crate. Having grown up with 2 cats in her family, Diamond is one of a few Buster dogs who could be adopted into a home with cats. She is good with children, outside of potentially knocking them down while romping around outside!
Diamond’s foster family is helping her learn “doggie” manners and etiquette – so far she is doing well, and getting along with the dogs in her foster home.
We will be posting more details – and more photos - as we get to know this beautiful pup better.
