Update - January 2010
Zoey is in a new foster home, and is doing wonderfully with her kitty foster brother. Our thanks to Julie and Zera for opening up their hearts and home to this special girl!
A huge thank you to Dr. Marilyn and the staff at St. Francis Animal Hospital in Macomb, MI for their support and loving care they have shown to Zoey! You are indeed true angels!
Zoey is an absolute doll! She is wonderful in the house and crate and she is terrific with other dogs, kitties and children. She is such a huge baby. Zoey loves everyone and is a pleasure here in rescue. We adore her. She enjoys car rides and is such a happy girl. She's content to doze on the most comfortable couch she can find and snooze the day away. Zoey is a wonderful companion and enjoys a good long walk with her foster mom Zara. She has made herself quite comfortable in her new foster home.
Zoey's only fault is that she has had one surgery on her cruciate and has also developed arthritis in that joint as well as her other knee. She will have to remain on supplements and be maintained at a weight that is healthy for her aging joints. Surgery this February on her other knee has gone well. Our prayer is that Zoey's knees will not keep her from being considered for adoption as she is precious! and deserves love and great care. She's on her supplements and it appears that they have made a marked improvement in her arthritis and have definitely helped her with any discomfort she was experiencing.
