Update 12/2/11 - From Sookie's foster mom:

Sookie is doing really well, she loves being around people, her foster brother and also gets along good with other dogs.  Right now, she is going to obedience classes every Monday night and working on the training material outside of class, she is a quick study and eager to please so she's picking up material quickly and the trainer even showed us a new way to safely ride her along side of a bike to get some exercise.  Sookie loves to run and play so bike riding will be a perfect workout.  Inside the house she can be a real couch potato and she loves to cuddle, so there is a good balance in her activity level.  Overall, Sookie is an awesome dog that is sure to find the perfect home.

Wow, can you say gorgeous?? Sookie (formerly known as Babs for those of you who watch our Facebook page!) was so worth the frantic search for a foster home. Her last days at Animal Control winding down, a plea from someone who wasn't able to adopt her brought her to our attention, and boy did we work fast -- VERY Special Thanks to our volunteer Corrine and our friends Eric & Lisa for doing what it took to get this girl to safety. YOU are her guardian angels!

Now, let us just tell you... this girl couldn't be much more amazing. She gets along very well with other dogs. So far, male or female hasn't mattered. We wouldn't set her up to fail, but we've been impressed thus far! She is excitable, but otherwise very polite. And she gives the BEST kisses ever! 

We can't say enough... you'll just have to meet this beauty for yourself!!
