I'm Damsel and I've been a Buster dog pretty much my whole life, at least since I was about ten weeks old. I was in foster care with a nice lady and her other dogs and cats but had to leave there because I was one dog too many. My old foster mom worked real hard to make me the nice girl I am today and I miss her lots too. I'm a little bit shy at first when meeting new people but I really like to go for outings whenever I can.

Everyone thinks I'm a very pretty girl and I'm very well behaved in my crate and the house too. I have fun outside especially with my foster sister Zoey. We're very close. I like to lay on the deck in the warm sunshine and take naps.

We thought I got lucky last year when we had the perfect home for me but unfortunately the community of Gwinn, MI made that impossible for me. Too bad the people there are narrow minded and have nothing better to do than keep their noses in everyone else's business. I had to come back because of an ancient 1919 ordinance that places a 2 dog limit on homeowners. Funny but we wondered if it was because I'm a pit bull mix to no fault of my own. Joanie says to have someone remind her to never visit that disturbed community in her travels to the UP.

Damsel is a wonderfully sweet girl who loves attention and is a joy to have around.

If you are interested in adopting Damsel, please first read our adoption policy and complete an application.

These are found on this website, under the tab “Animals”, then “Adoption Info”.

Too often we have had people set up appointments for a meet and greet only to be no-shows. All our dogs are in foster homes, and we at Buster appreciate that our foster families' and volunteers' time is precious, therefore we will not set up meet and greets without first receiving a completed application.

We trust you understand and respect our decision to enforce this policy.
