UPDATE!! 2/25 ---

Jackie Boy has really come a LONG way.... he's gained several pounds and his hair is growing back. He has blossomed into a completely different dog from when he first came to us. Great with kids, and could care less about the cats around him, we have been so happily surprised with this boy's blooming personality.

Jack does well with both the male and female dog that he's been living with. He is much more confident and becoming comfortable with what a "normal" home life means. He does extremely well in his crate, happy and quiet, and loves kongs and other toys. We took him to Petsmart for the first time last week, and he was great walking around and following commands, but was still overwhelmed when we put him in a crate and had all of that activity around him. It's not a bad thing, it just means that he wasn't quite ready for all of that chaos and stimulation.

Jack likes everyone, including the younger kids, and seems to be fine with all of the other dogs as long as introductions happen slowly and they aren't too pushy. He really just wants to be loved and have guidance.... the normal life for most dogs. Poor Jack is still learning what that means, but as a true Pit Bull, he's taking is all in stride and coming out for the better on the other end of his journey! Can you help Jack finish his well-deserved journey into a forever home?

Sir Jack came to us from a local shelter.  Thank you Jen & Co. for stepping up to take him in!  We couldn't ask for a better foster caregiver than you!

It's obvious that Jack is a victim of abuse and neglect.  Local animal control officials were very concerned about his physical condition. He's got lots of scars which are no doubt old bite wounds.  He's also got a secondary skin infection and is pretty thin.  Thanks to Dr. Isaacson and my co-workers for providing such great care to this sad guy!

Jack is negative for heartworm, complete labwork is all normal, received his rabies, skin scraping and ear swab all ok and a negative fecal!  One blessed boy considering his physical state.

We will update his bio as we get to know him better.  Right now he needs to be fed regulary, rest along with the typical training he will need.  Check back for updates and new pictures!
