Destiny has arrived! This pathetic girl was found loose on the streets of a local city.  Exhausted, underweight and full of both old and more recent scars, this girl was thankfully picked up by a young woman who had contacted me before when she had stepped up to help another bully in need.  Thanks to Sema for EVERYTHING she has done for our sweetie Destiny - including getting her to the vet for an exam, preventative care and thank goodness a NEGATIVE heartworm test too!

This is one petite and small pitty girl.  Even though she only weighs 38 pounds (she should be at least 45) she is simply precious!  She is white with brindle patching and has cropped (way too short) ears.  She also shows evidence of bite mark scratches all over her legs both front and back, her inner thigh bears the remains of an abscessed laceration and numerous areas on her head and neck show bald scars of even more injury.  With more time and TLC she will heal and all that will remain will be the faded scars of her past history.

Destiny didn't seem overly interested in the dogs and cats at work today; she was happy to meet and greet a few in-store pet parents and their pet kids with a relaxed tail wag and an ocassional sniff here and there. She walked calmly on lead and loved checking out the treat isle in Petsmart. She was very well behaved as she happily took in the daily veterinary hospital activity while resting comfortably on a warm blanket.

Destiny is now in a loving and safe foster home.  Thank you Nicki and Mike for opening up your hearts and home to literally save her. Destiny will begin her rehab and training as soon as she is a bit stronger.  We will update her bio and share new pictures as she settles in.

Thank you to my work family at Banfield Pet Hospital Northville for caring for her today as well.
