Handsome Mr. Zane was adopted from Buster in 2006. Somehow Zane ended up being dropped off at MHS on New Years Eve, and has made his way home to Buster for his 2nd chance at a family that will TRULY dedicate their love to this special boy. 

Since being back with us, Zane has spent time in 2 foster homes (the first one was just temporary), and both have kids, which he LOVES. Zane is a great, gentle, calm boy for a family that maybe has slightly less time to dedicate to a ton of doggie exercise. And it's also nice because he doesn't run around the house like a maniac, which could easily knock the younger ones over. He's happy to play with balls and toys in the yard, then snuggle and lounge around the house. He's definitely one of our least needy dogs when it comes to exercise. 

Within minutes of spending time with him, you can't help but fall in love. Zane is sweet, and gentle, and endearing. He knows how to make you smile, but isn't pushy or overly excitable. He sits and lays down on first request, knows "heel" on leash (pretty well), and he loves to shake for treats. We don't know what he's been up to the past couple of years, but he was such a good puppy when he was younger, and it still shows in his awesome personality now.

His first foster family really loved him, but was only a temporary set-up... but here is what they had to say about the big guy when they had him:

Zane is a very sweet dog. He is very calm but seems very confident. Zane loves to be petted and hugged. Zane will be a great family dog.  He is good to us and he is very good to our son. He is very low energy inside the house, but playful outside the house. Zane follows me around, I call him my shadow. Right now he is enjoying warm air from a heat register.
