Betsey is an adoptable little Pitty who was found wandering a neighborhood in dire need of aid.  The good Samaritan who found her reached out to us and we took her in.  When we got her we found a serious Injury to her abdomen.  We rushed her to medical care and it was a long 2 weeks of surgeries and some touch and go moments.  Luckily, she has almost fully recovered and looking for her new forever home.   She loves every person she meets and seems to do fine around dogs too.  We haven’t directly let her interact with them as she Is still healing. 

***Betsey has special needs.*** 

Due to the complexity of her injuries, should she even need surgery again, it would need to be completed by a Veterinary Surgeon.  A normal vet would not be equipped to handle her.  Due to that requirement any future medical care would be significantly more expensive should she need additional surgery.  We can’t say for sure she will need additional surgery, but it is possible she might.  Additionally, due to her injuries, her adoptive family would need to be KEENLY aware of any changes in her behavior or any signs that may indicate she needs to be taken into the vet for an evaluation. Ideally, her adopter would be someone with a medical or vet/vet tech background.  Betsey is a wonderful dog and has gone through more than most so we want to ensure her forever home can properly care for her forever.
