Ralphie (formerly known as Artie) is a serious character.  If you don't just want "any dog", well then this quirky little, red guy might be just the buddy you've been looking for.  Most likely a runt in his litter, complete with a goofy overbite that makes him look a bit like a cartoon character, Ralphie is a big personality in a pint-sized body.

While he's always ready to run and play with his brother and sister, Ralphie can often be found just doing his own thing, whether it be sitting in the shade alone nibbling on some grass, or off in the corner of his crate getting acquainted with one of his bones or stuffed animals while his chubbier siblings rough house a few inches from him.  He's generally the last to go to sleep, and the last to wake up, as well as the most likely one to fall asleep quietly on your lap.  And although he may be smaller, he definitely knows how to hold his own with his big brother, George, and his sister, Peaches.  In fact, if they try to push him around too much, he can let out quite the ferocious growl for a mere 7 lbs.!

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Ralphie is his independence.  Although his brother and sister can be pretty needy, and tend to whine and cry when they feel the need, Ralphie is about as content and quiet as can be.  Other than the brief whine to let you know he needs to go out, or a big growl to say, "Hey, back off man!", he's calm, cool, and collected 24/7.

His favorite toys are his little stuffed squeaky duck, his Marie Calendar's pie tin (which he bangs and drags around the yard like an inmate), and shoes.  Ralphie loves to stick his face in your shoes--so make sure to keep an eye on your laces and sandle straps around this guy!
