Tyke has been through a lot... and boy, has he come a LONG way! This guy was living in a burned out house in Detroit, eating rocks and plastic to fill his tummy. On top of it all, he had a badly embedded collar, probably the puppy collar he was wearing when he was dumped on the streets.

This beautiful soul has had some tough recovery and he still takes a little while to warm up to new people. He loves other dogs (they really help him relax too) and he goes bananas for the hose and the kiddie pool. He's crate trained and knows some basic commands.

Tyke may never be the "normal" social butterfly that most pit bulls are, but he's got love to give and a silly personality that shines when he is ready to show it... and for the right family, he will be like the missing piece to their puzzle.
