Nola is a sweet girl that loves to play.  She is great with other dogs (currently lives with all sizes from a beagle to a Newfoundland, as well as other pitties).  She is good with cats but she tends to play hard - she might do better in a house without them.  The right cat she would be fine with,  she just likes to pounce when she plays.  She loves to cuddle on the couch and snuggle in the bed (she will get under the covers if allowed).  She walks well on a leash and is housebroken.  She loves to be outside regardless of the weather.  Lives on a farm with livestock (from chickens to horses) and although is very curious she is good with them.

Vices are she does get nippy when playing, although takes correction well, and she loves shoes!

She is good in a crate and is not food aggressive. Would love a family of her own that includes another dog to play with and even a kid or two - she would be a great family dog.

Many! Thanks to Dr. Val Fournier and Veterinary Emergency Service - East in Madison Heights for saving this bully girl.  Our Thanks also go to a neighboring PD's officers for taking her there.  Thought to be just another holiday tragedy, this sad girl was founding wandering around with a prolasped rectum!  And huge tanks to Darcy and Ben for taking her in!  I hate to think that we wouldn't have been able to help her and she would have been at the bridge right now.

This newly named beauty, Nola, is as good as new since Dr. Val took such good care of her!  The prolaspe has been corrected, she's spayed, heartworm & fecal tested (negative!), started her vaccines and has been microchipped.

UPDATE -- Nola had to have another surgery last night (Monday).  Her incision appeared to have opened up internally and Dr. Gretchen had to go in to ascess the problem.  Poor sweet darling!  Things are looking good today, thank goodness for Darcy and the staff at Animal Neuro Emergency!

Our beauty is looking for a forever home like all our other beloved bullies.  She is doing very well with her foster menagerie!  She's been introduced to her foster canines, felines, poultry, swine and even the ruminants!  Hasn't met up with the equine brood yet!  Stayed tuned.  More pictures are coming.  These are her after second surgery at foster mom Darcy's workplace.
